Science Fair project ideas having to do with baking and/or scrapbooking

We did one called Bitter/Sweet.we took 2 canning jars put 3 tablespoons of sugar in one & 3 tablespoons of salt in the other & added food color to identify wich was sugar & which was salt.put a ruler between them & took a picture every day to watch the evaporation.we put it in the oven on 200 degrees for several days & took a picture daily.marked the evaporation on a chart with corresponding marker that matched the food color,,the purpose for this was to see how much sugar we could reclaim & how much salt we could reclaim after the liquids were disolved.amaizingly enough the salt was reclaimed by volume but the sugar was not.the salt crystalized like salt crystals & the sugar formed a sheet of crystal glass it was very unique..

My daughter took first place & we had a blast & it was very easy.only took about a week from start to finish.
