How do I go about scrapbooking

Hi

Digital scrapbooking is quite simple. There r few things needed to make digital scrapbooks. First of all, u need a computer with a decent graphics card. Next, u need digital imaging software such as Adobe Photoshop or even something a little cheaper like SnagIt. Such software is not only designed to edit pictures but also to make layouts such as scrapbooks. Obviously, u need photos. You may also use scrapbook templates such as Simply Digital, which helps beginners with design ideas. For those who want to print their work, a good quality photo printer & photo paper is needed.

With these materials, digital scrapbooking can be easy. Like traditional scrapbook making methods, it basically involves designing backgrounds, adding pictures, inserting accent designs, adding texts & titles, & so on. The good thing about digital scrapbooking is everything can be easily edited & mistakes can be easily removed.

With digital scrapbooking, u can be nostalgic without being passé. Memories can be easily preserved & cherished with digital scrapbooking.

Hope that helps.

Take care

Paul

Yes its very possible. Of course it will be a big album & it will take alot of time. But in the end it will be worth it. Google scrapbooking. Its also fun to type it in on youtube. It shows fun examples. Take a trip to ur local craft store & look at all the supplies. Travel is a very common theme, so there r tons of stuff u could u use from those places!
To also add a creative touch, take stuff from ur trip that u saved during ur trip. Like leaves, waterbottle labels, coins, etc. Take a page, put a strip of paper across it to make a pocket & glue all sides except the top, leave that open. Then stuff those things in that pocket. Its a good way for those things u still want to pull out & look at.

Good luck & enjoy!

Hi, good question.

I am not really an expert myself on scrapbooking but I can understand how attractive it is. I've even noticed great photo books in places like PhotoBox or CafePress & think that these might be an option for u too.

In the meanwhile I pulled up this page that has a few resources on it that u might be able to learn from:

Hope u create a great scrapbook & I hope that page helps a bit.

Thanks. :)

Check out creative memories online.. i think it is creativememories.com

They have a few layout pages, which can show u ideas on how to decorate.
If u need extra help, they might just have consultants within ur area. they can help u out with how to be creative, show u tools that u can use, to make ur pages more interesting. they also sell books that u can use, to get ideas.

you can also buy scrapbooking supplies from target or walmart. they have things from stickers, to different layout backgrounds, to anything. just make sure everything is acid free. Anything with acid, will damage ur pictures.

also one other thing, when it comes to ur pictures- divide them up into different topics/ events. it will be a lot easier, than having them jumbled up.

500 pictures is a lot for an experienced scrapbooker. I would choose the best ones, the ones that tell the story. Can you print contact sheets? I have a program that will make 35 small pictures on one 8 1/2 X 11 sheet. You could use these lesser photos for borders. You can also use a photo and lighten it quite a bit, and use for a background.

Hi there!
So, u want to try a scrapbooking project!?
Okay, then the first thing u do is go to ur local scrapbooking store & meet the folks there. Take a few of the pictures of the first place u visited,& ur travel tickets.
They can show u layout ideas, explain journeling & get u excited about ur project.
Scraping does not need to take over ur life, it can become the private thing u do when u need peace & quiet, it can also be the thing that leads u to new friends of all ages.
Some of the finest people I have ever met were at scrabooking ''crops''.
There is no wrong way to preserve ur memories, by organizing them ( memeories) into a book u can share & remember details that could become froggten.
I suggest that u write notes to go with each group of photos .especially the funny or ironic things u experienced.

Also, u will become more intune with yourself as u discover the ''artsy fartsy'' side of yourself!!!

And make sure u blow uop & frame out some of ur favorite pictures! People will see them in ur home & want to know more about ur trip! Then u can whip out the fun scrapbook & let them look if they want to see more.

Good luck & great fun!!!

Scrapbooking can include as many or as few pictures as u wish.you only need the supplies & the time. If u want it to be simple & u absolutely want to use all of ur pictures, u can place them in an album & simply journal next to each or journal for clusters of pics. You can also get a nice box to decorate with a theme surrounding ur trip, place the album in it with souveniers, & include a journal or journaled pages. Another idea is to choose the best of the 500 & scrap those, placing the remainder in an album w/o journaling. Honestly, the possibilities r endless. You first need to determine what type of ''scrapping'' you'd like to accomplish with these pics.simple, or sophisticated/creative. I hope this helps! For a few ideas, I always record a show that comes on BYUTV or Channel 8. I think it is Creative Memories TV, I am not sure. I will have to look. http://simplescrapbooksmag.com/ is a website to view as well. Stacy Julian (on the site) as great ideas for simple scrapbooking. She is sometimes a guest on the show I record. Also, I will be starting a free meet-up (no buying, selling, etc) in the Southbelt area if it is close to you. The first meeting is Friday, 8/8, from 7-9pm. This is the first time I've ever done this, but I am now confined to scrapbooking in my closet, so I need to get out & socialize with others. This is a chance for others in the area to learn & share scrapbooking, cardmaking, & other papercrafting techniques, as well as to just socialize with others. Feel free to come if u can. It is at Sagemont Community Center. I started an online group ''South Belt Scrappers'' to go along with the meetings. The group page is http://groups..com/group/southbeltscrappers/. Again, I hope this helps.

there is so much u can do to preserve ur photos & memories from ur trip! You can make a digital book or an traditional scrapbook.
Go to
creativememories.com
there is a consultant locator & they can teach a one on one to show u all the different options & help u get started. It is the easiest way & the personal help really helps out.
You've had an amazing trip & how great would it be to have a complete album for u to share with others!
Good luck!

I bet you could scrapbook them. But not all of them. And if you do scrapbook, you can buy some stickers and fabric to put around the page. I am srapbooking right now and I have this one section of me and my family at the zoo, so I put the guide book in one of the pages and put pictures of animals in different groups. And I put stickers around them, like if I had a tiger photo, I would put a tiger stricker right by it. So try some things that would be creative

How do I go about scrapbooking

I am an artist so I am a little against scrapbooking. Just get a crap load of different style frames and frame them on a wall of Germany!

But if you really want to go scrapbooking, go check out a local craft store or a specialty store and they can get you started, or google scrapbooking 101.
